Five more ways coaching can help us.

Coaching can help Develop Winners

There are no prizes for coming in second place...or are there? Well when you think about it second place wins over all the other places that come behind it, like third and forth and so on. So, I guess unless you come in last you are always a winner right? Well that's how I see it. But should winning be your prime focus anyway? And then there's the question, winning in what?  I'm talking about in life here. Do you see everyone else as a competitor? If so, why? Life is not a competition..and that's where many people make a huge mistake. They treat everybody as a competitor instead of focusing on their own progression. That's what a real winner does, he/she pays attention only to their own advancement. The only competitor you will ever have is yourself. Success is just a progression of little wins along your journey. You judge your success by how far you have progressed since last week / month / year, not how far ahead you consider yourself to be ahead of someone else. You are only ever competing against yourself, and as long as you are making some progress, no matter how small, you are winning. Too many people are obsessed with just accomplishing that little bit more than the next guy. Even if they are not progressing at the rate they wish, it doesn't seem to matter...as long as they consider themselves "ahead" of the next guy. This is a terrible mindset. A capable Life Coach will show you how to become a relentless winner when competing against your biggest opponent...yourself.

"A true winner doesn't seek only the title...A true winner seeks growth."

Vishal Chauhan.

Coaching can help Establish a way forward

There is nothing worse than feeling you have nowhere to turn, or not knowing which way to turn. This is a feeling we all know too well. Your going well, things are working out pretty good for you and you think you have it under control...then Bang! Some unforeseen situation occurs and leaves you in a compromising position. Do you go left, or do you go right, or perhaps keep going straight ahead? Maybe you should turn back?  Big decisions are needed. You've come to an unexpected crossroads, and every road seems to have an obstruction. The more you try to work it all out, the more complicated it seems to get. The main problem here is that there is only one brain trying to sort this out. There is only one perspective been applied to the concern. There is only one intellect being utilized. Well, you know what they say "two heads are better than one" "there is strength in numbers". The logical thing to do in this situation is to seek help. Bring in another perspective, another interpretation, another standpoint from a different angle. This is why Coaches exist. To help you consider other techniques and/or approaches to your dilemma. To support you in your pursuit of clearer thinking and sensible decision making. Coaches can take you around the back-roads of uncertainty, and lead you back to the main roads of stability.

"If everyone is moving forward together, then success takes care of itself"

Henry Ford

Coaching can help sow the seeds of.......

If you sow the seed of an Apple tree in your garden.....an Apple tree will grow...not an Orange tree or a Pear tree. This makes perfect sense now as we mention it and think about it a little. And, yes it is perfect sense. I mean, how can anything else grow except an Apple tree?  Just sow the seed, forget about it, don't worry about it and let nature take its course. Wham! an Apple tree will grow. This is how nature works. But we take nature for granted far too often. Nature can show us the way to accomplish many things if we just take the time to observe it and use some of its lessons.

Far too often we sow Apple trees and expect a Pear tree to grow. What I mean is we very often sow the seeds of failure and expect success. Examples of this would be like hoping to run a marathon but never train...pass an exam but never study...improve a relationship but never talk...expect to win but never buy the ticket...intend to go but never leave...set out to finish but never start...believe you can, but never try...seek to understand but never listen. There are many many more examples.

If you want success you have to work. If you want to run a marathon, you have to train. If you want to pass that exam you have to study. If you want to improve your relationship you have to talk. If you want to win the prize, you have to buy the ticket. If you want to travel, you have to leave where you are. If you want to finish something, you have to start it first. If you believe you can, you have to go and try it. If you want to understand when someone speaks, you have to listen carefully.

I know all the above sounds like common sense, but the problem with common sense is that it is not very common. So often we expect what is just simply not possible because we are pulling against it all the time...we have sown the wrong seed. Let a Life Coach sow some Apple trees for you, and watch you orchard flourish.

"Your future is a harvest produced by the seeds you are willing to sow"

Mike Murdock.

Another 5 ways Coaching can help you Progress. (post3)

Hi again everybody,

Well, here we are on our third post about how Life Coaching can help you progress on your Journey to Success, Happiness, Contentment or whatever it is you are pursuing in your life. I have another five great reasons why everybody should hire a good coach, and get cracking on the new life you promised yourself some time ago. I'd also like to remind you all here about my unique way of Empowering and Energising clients throughout my Group Coaching process...it is of course Drumming. Yes, Drumming, hand drumming to be precise. In future posts I want to explain to my readers exactly how this process works, and how this drumming and Coaching go hand in hand. That's all something to look forward to, but let's get back to this post now and have a look at our next five motives for hiring a Coach,

1. Coaching can help Develop winners.

People who seek Coaching are generally people who want to progress in life...to improve their current situation and advance in life. They have a vision for their future, they know they can do better with the skills and/or talents they have been gifted with. They feel they are only somewhere in the "race", maybe even in the leading pack, but they will never be satisfied with that....they want to be Winners. They want First place. Not in any egotistical way, but in a self-fulfilment type of way. It's a challenge for them. Coaching can instil that "Winning" feeling in them. A feeling of being first past the post, not second or third. A good Coach can make you feel like a winner...before the race even starts.

"If you don't see yourself as a winner, then you won't perform as a winner"

Zig Zigler

2. Coaching can Establish a Pathway forward.

We often seek Coaching when we are lost. Lost in the sense that we are not sure of our next move. We might know what we want, but cannot figure out the next step to take to get us closer to it. It's a very frustrating place to be, and often it's the time when many give up. It's a time when we see only problems, difficulties, troubles and snags. Ironically this can often be when we are very, very close to reaching our goal, and the last thing we need to do now is quit. But often we do. Good Coaching can illuminate the pathway for us at times like this. A good coach will support you and assist you to uncover the real obstacles that you must overcome, and facilitate a change of perspective that will demystify the situation and disclose a clear pathway forward.

3.Coaching can Build Inner Strength

Many people can appear to be extremely strong and confident in working and social situations, and this is good. This is what we all strive to be. However, this strength and confidence does not come from external things or situations. To be truly strong and confident, it must be Internal...coming from inside to out...not the reverse. Pretending to be strong and confident on the outside will never build true inner strength and confidence. This has to be planted inside you, like a seed, and it will grow and flourish and be a natural part of your personality. The sad thing is that most people have never sown this seed (yes, some have of course and that's great) but believe me most people have very little inner strength or confidence. Why? because they have never worked on it....simple as! Coaching is a great place to start working on yourself from the inside. A good Coach can help you find who you really are, and teach you how to be truly self-aware. This is when the seed of inner strength and confidence is sown, and continuous Coaching will help bring about a harvest of positive inner strength and confidence which will eventually blossom into a natural exterior colourful bouquet.

4.Coaching can Provide much needed Support.

If I had a penny for every time I turned down some kind of support, convinced I could do it all on my own, I would be a wealthy man. There is something about human nature that makes us feel uncomfortable about asking for help...or accepting it when it is offered. Why is this so? After all, people generally love helping out others, it makes them feel good. Perhaps it's a sense of feeling inadequate, or just our pride, or maybe we just think that nobody can do it as good as we can. This I can tell you is not a good way to be. When you need help...ask for it. It's always there. If not in the first place you look, then the second or third.. it will come. The best place to find help and support is through a good Life/Business Coach. These professionals are trained to be supportive, encouraging, understanding and loyal, which is exactly what you need when you hit a stone wall in terms of knowing what to do next, and they are caring people, that is why they choose a helping profession...they want to help. So don't be shy or slow about reaching out and unearthing a top class Coach.

5. Being Coached will Encourage you to stay with any task.

When we are pursuing any goal it's so easy at times to feel dejected, defeated or discouraged. Things are on track one day, the next day all seems to have gone pear-shaped. We can start to wonder if we are wasting out time, or are we travelling down the wrong road altogether. This type of feeling can bring us down, and often make us feel like quitting. More often than not this is just a case of running into unforeseeable obstacles, or circumstances changing that are not in our control, or even just plain bad luck. Nevertheless, whatever the cause, it can set us back in time, effort, enthusiasm, energy and commitment. What you need now is some encouragement. Some uplifting words, advice, or suggestions, to lift your spirits and fill your soul once again with the passion and excitement you had before. Coaches come across people in this position all the time...and they know how to fix them. Never underestimate the power of encouragement. The right words of encouragement at the right time can halt dejection in its tracks. A good Coach is an expert at uplifting and encouraging a sense of certainty that any complications, obstructions or barriers can be overcome. Never let the lack of encouragement hold you back for long...contact a competent Coach.

That's it  for this post guys. Your opinions and comments are always welcome. I'll be back soon with yet even more good reasons why it might be a good idea for you to consider Life/ Business coaching. Until then, you take care and God bless.

Eddie.

And yet another 5 ways Coaching can help you Progress. (post3)

One life...One chance...make it happen!

Hi again everybody,

Well, here we are on our 4th post about how Life Coaching can help you progress on your Journey to Success, Happiness, Contentment or whatever it is you are pursuing in your life. That's all something to look forward to, but let's get back to this post now and have a look at our next five motives for hiring a Coach.

Drumming started as a means of healing, developing, communicating and entertaining thousands of years ago. Although at that time people did not fully understand what was happening to them when they drummed. Nor did they care. They only knew that drumming made them feel good...it gave them an energy they did not have prior to the drumming, and a feeling of strength, vitality and assertiveness above the normal level. We call this Empowerment today. New fancy word...same thing. They also felt a greater sense of community, connectedness and support because they always drumming in groups. Drumming lifts us to a higher place, sometimes a place that's indescribable however very real. We feel all the above...Energised, Stronger, more Self-confident and Aware. We feel supported by all the other drummers, and connected in a kind of Powerful, Intense and Spiritual way. That's why I use group drumming in my group coaching courses...to Empower my clients with a "can do" attitude and a feeling of assertiveness. More on this in my next blog.

Now back to the reasons for hiring a Life Coach...here are 5 more reasons.

1. Coaching can be the signposts that show you the direction to follow on your journey.

Personal Development is a journey. In fact a journey with no destination. If that sounds strange, let me explain a little. Most of us think that there is a certain time when we reach total happiness, total success, total fulfilment, (destination), however I don't believe such things exist. Perhaps I'm wrong, however I doubt it. You see, each time we reach what we thought (last year) would be total success, we then want to achieve even more, and off we go again on a new journey. But this is good. That's the way it should be. We need to keep trying to reach a new level all the time. This keeps us alert and interested. If we reach a level of what we believe to be total success early in life what happens? We go backwards. We think "this is it, I've done it now" We rest on our laurels and slip backwards. We think "is this all there is to it?" and we get board and frustrated. You see, there is no end, no destination only a continuous journey of small success's, of small measures of fulfilment and many bouts of happiness along the way. So, finding a good Coach is crucial to finding your way forward and continuing to set goals (success's), reaching them and moving on to the next ones. Let your Coach be the Sat-Nav on your continuous journey of life.

"I can't change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination"

Jimmy Dean

2. Your Coach can evoke a bewildering Transformation in your outlook

If you feel that perhaps you have gone too far and even pass the point of rescue with regard to improving your life, think again. Coaching is for you. A good Coach can transform your negative outlook and have you brimming with Self-confidence in a few short sessions. It's so easy to let yourself get too low. There is a point where you might think "what's the point?" and saying things like "I'm too old" "I'm too fat" "I'm not educated enough" "I'm not experienced enough" and all sorts of things like this. That is when you must act. You need help to pull you up from the hole you have fallen into. It starts with an inner change of attitude...then a outer burst of action. Transformation is always possible if you embrace honesty and admit you could do with some professional assistance.

"I've never seen any life transformation that didn't begin with the person in question finally getting tired of their own bullshit"

Elizabeth Gilbert

3. A good Coach will always give 100%

Some people have said to me that they would not hire a Life Coach because they are only "in it for the money". This is ridiculous and totally untrue. Coaching is a caring profession. People who become Coaches are caring and comforting people, that is why they enter the Coaching field in the first place. Speaking as a Professional Coach myself, I can tell you there is no better feeling than the feeling of knowing that you have helped make somebody's dream come true, or lifted their spirits, or made them feel that they are capable of achieving greater things. The money is the wage for the work, the reward is the smile on the clients face as they leave each session feeling empowered and inspired. A good Coach knows that in order to transform his/her life a client must give nothing less than 100%, so how can they as Coach even contemplate giving anything less? Trust me, a good Life Coach will always care about your results, and will never give less than 100% to the Coaching relationship.

"Whatever you do, always give 100%. Unless you're donating blood"

Bill Murray

4. A good Coach can show you the benefits of spreading humour

Strange as it may seem, some Coaches often use Humour as a means of relaxing or de-stressing a client. I don't mean this in the sense that they try to make the client bend over with laughter, but in a sort of frivolous or playful way. Part of many peoples problems is that they sometimes take everything far too seriously...including life itself. There will be many times in life when things will go wrong and all you can do is laugh. Laugh at yourself, laugh at situations, laugh at other people and laugh at the way things work out sometimes. Because you know what? sometimes life is very funny and it's a great release to just laugh at it. I would be very sceptical of a Coach who never uses humour in his/her sessions. Humour doesn't always have to make us laugh, or even smile, but it can make us think a little differently and change our perspective a lot. In your life journey, use a lot of humour, spread it around and see how things change for the better. And when finding a Life Coach, check out his/her sense of humour in some way before hiring them.

"A sense of humour is a sense of proportion"

Khalil Gibran

5. A good Coach will help you Deliver results.

As I have said before, there a many, many reasons for hiring a Life Coach, however, there is one thing all clients want from a Coaching relationship and that's results. At the beginning of each Coaching session the client must decide what they would like to get from the session, and at the end, if they have got what they expected. This is results. Good Coaching is when the Coach can see very clearly where the client wants to go, and guides him there. At the outset of the Coaching relationship it is always very helpful if the client has even a "blurred" vision of where they want to go. Then the Coach has something to work with. It's unfair to expect a Coach to take you to a certain point if you don't know yourself where that point is. If that is the case then both the client and the Coach will have to start working together to try to discover where the Coaching journey should take them. This will of course take longer (more sessions) but you now have a vision of what the end result might look like, and a good Coach will take you there. Coaching very often works backwards, starting with the end in mind (results)B, and working back to A, where the client is now. Then designing a roadmap to get from A to B. Coaching sessions are not working if they are not producing results, simple as.

"The results you achieve will be in direct proportion to the effort you apply"

Denis Waitley

5 More ways Coaching can help you progress! (post 2)

1. Coaching can help Empower you for transformation.

When people come to Coaching it's normally because they want/need to make changes in their lives. This of course means a time of transformation...even risk taking. As we all know it's hard enough at the best of times to face changes, it's even harder when we don't prepare for it. If you go into a Coaching relationship with a view to really making changes, you better be ready...it's tough. That is why part of the Coaching style you undertake must include some strategies to help you get in shape "holistically" for the adventure. This is where I use my Group Drumming sessions with my clients...to Empower and Energise them, and build a strong defence against any outside distractions or doubts that might creep into your mind-set. Make sure your Coach has methods of Empowering you which will enable you to feel "up " for the demanding task and undertaking that transformation can be.

"Self empowerment is seeking the solution rather than fixating on the problem"

Coach Bobbi

2. Coaching can create order from chaos

When our life feels like chaos we need some order. Coaching can create this order by clearing the "fog" that is blinding us from seeing the way forward. Many clients complain of this feeling of "chaos" It's the way we feel when everything is "all over the place", nothing fits in anymore, there is no "flow" or "Rhythm" to what we are doing on a daily basis. In my Group Coaching sessions I use the Drumming as a metaphor for life's routines, functions and duties. I use the power of Rhythm to demonstrate "order and flow" and to establish an understanding of "Clarity" and "Precision". All these things are so important for clearing the way for an unobstructed journey to progression, development and advancement.

"Order is repetition with units, chaos is multiplicity without Rhythm"

M C Escher.

3. Coaching can help Alter Perceptions.

Sometimes in life we might be moving in the wrong direction (or not moving at all) because our perception of a situation, or even of life itself, is way off reality. How we see things is so important. People who do well in life tend to see many things differently from people who do not do so well. It's strange but true. Very often our perception of ourselves, others, money, work, relationships, socialising, studying, and all sorts of situations are wrong. Coaching can help a client see things from another perspective. The way we perceive ourselves for instance is absolutely vital to our progression and development, and this perception, if wrong, can hold us back from becoming the best version of ourselves. A good Coach can adjust the lens of a clients focus, and put many things in perspective, therefore helping them to perceive the World in a better, more constructive and positive light.

"All our knowledge has its origins in our perceptions"

Leonardo da Vinci

4. Coaching can Instil Self-Belief.

It's simple...if you don't believe in yourself, you will never get other people to believe in you. Believing in yourself should be the number one thing you tackle when you want to move forward, make positive changes and reach your goals. A good Coach can see very quickly if a clients self-belief system is broken...and start immediately to rebuild it. If the reason your not progressing is because you know deep down that you don't really believe in yourself, then you must take immediate action. With the aid of a good Coach, change this negative outlook about yourself before you take another step. You must instil an indestructible self-belief system...it is the foundation of all success and achievement endeavours.

"A man cannot be comfortable without his own approval"

Mark Twain

5. Coaching can Energize you.

The first time I ever went to a Coaching session as a client still remains clear in my mind. What still stays with me is the feeling of renewed energy I had when the session was over. It's hard to explain or define Energy in this way. Rather than a "physical" energy, it was more of a "soulful" energy. (see I told you it was hard to explain) However, if you have had this feeling you will know what I mean. A good vibrant Coach has a way of making you feel like you have the energy to take on any task no matter how tough. It's an energy that helps you find answers to problems, make better decisions, think on your feet, have a clearer vision of reality or structure better plans. Energy can come in many ways, but this "expressive" type of energy is special and extremely concentrated.

"Energy is contagious, either you affect people, or you infect people"

T Harv Eker

5 ways Coaching can help you progress. (post 1)

Hi guys,

I hope this blog post finds you well, and in the Groove. Ok, so what can a Life or Business Coach do for you?  Good question. Many people wonder why they should use the services of a Life Coach...I mean what can they gain? What exactly will they get out of it? Well I have come up with a number of very good reasons for booking some sessions with a Life Coach...in fact so many I will need a couple of posts, but I have put together five here in this post with some explanations...in no particular order.

1. Coaching can inspire you to kick start a new beginning in your life.

Yes, Inspiration! Where would we be without it. We all need to be inspired by someone or something from time to time. Inspiration is that tingling feeling you get inside when you just want to dive in and make something happen. Usually something that means a lot to you. Something that is a lifetime goal, something you have been putting off....sometimes for years. Inspiration can light the fuse that sends the spark down to the explosives....and BANG! there's no holding you back.

2. Coaching can help you to start your Motivation.

Please note that I say help "you" to start "your" Motivation. I say this because I believe we can only motivate ourselves. Yes I know we have people who call themselves Motivational Speakers, Motivational Coaches and so on, however I believe they can only Inspire us...we must Motivate our own actions. Motivate means to "move " "act" " perform" and nobody can get us off our bottoms only ourselves. So, your Coach can inspire you into motivational action.

3. Coaching can uplift your Spirits.

For a lot of people Coaching lifts them off the floor. People very often come to Coaching when they feel defeated, overwhelmed or crushed. This is of course not the correct time to seek out a Coach, but it is the reality for a lot of people. Ideally you should come to Coaching much sooner than this, before your spirit is broken. However if you do leave it late don't despair. Being Coached by an Inspirational Coach can soon lift your spirits, boost your confidence and elevate your courage and conviction in a matter of hours.

4. Coaching can facilitate a process of personal growth.

A Coach can be your best friend. They can (and will) be there when you need support and encouragement. They will assist you to "dig deep" into your essence and consciousness to find the "gold nuggets" of decision making you need to proceed. Remember, when you are being Coached, you (the client) hold the agenda, but you are not alone. Your Coach will act as a crutch, a prop or pillar, always asking probing questions that will lead you to self-discovery, and personal growth.

5. Coaching can build Leaders

Most people equate leadership with a role within a business or corporate situation, however leadership is also needed to control and manage your personal life. You must set am example to yourself...you must make important decisions for yourself...you must be brave and take risks for yourself...you must lead from the front and not hide behind things such as Comfort Zones, Feeble Excuses, Procrastination or Half-Hearted Attempts. Coaching can bring out the leader in anyone, provided they are prepared to take responsibility and act courageously in any given situation.

So, there you have it. Five great reasons why you might use the services of a Coach. There are many more as I have mentioned, and I will list them in my next couple of blogs. Never forget there is always help out there. As humans we were never meant to make it alone in this world...we all must seek help and guidance at some stage. As a good friend of mine said to me once "the dog that barks the loudest always gets fed" So, don't be afraid to "bark" loud and get some Coaching when you need it.

Until next time, God bless.

Eddie.

Liberate yourself......take Responsibility!

Hi guys,

What is your reaction when you meet obstacles? How do you react? What do you say to yourself? We all react to difficult times in our lives in different ways. Some of us just give up and say " I'm no good, I can't do this, I'm gonna quit". Others stay in there, and don't let things get to them. They say things like " I will not let this go, I know I can do this" or " I'm better than this situation, I can and will conquer it. Which person are you?

Why do some people just give up? What makes them say to themselves " I can't do this". Well it could be a number of things really. Firstly it could be lack of self-confidence, perhaps from failing in a similar situation before. It could also be laziness, just not bothered to face a few decisions and perhaps a little unpleasantness for a while. Lot's of people use "Time" as an excuse for not getting on with things "Gosh if only I had more time I would".....Yeah right! Many people blame other people when things get tough..."if only he had done this or that" " if only she had not done this or that" Why do we do this? Simple, we don't want to take responsibility for our own lives.

When you really think about it, this is very strange. Why do we not want to take responsibility for our own lives? Who do we think will do it if we don't? Let's get real here guys, everybody's too busy looking after their own lives to be bothered with yours. Yes, I mean Everybody. Too many people fail to fulfil their potential because they will not take responsibility for their actions, decisions and choices. Taking responsibility for your own actions is one of the most liberating things you can do. It's wonderful. To stop blaming other people, other situations or circumstances, and taking accountability for everything that happens to you in life is the biggest step you will ever take to personal freedom, independence and liberty.

Many people have come to me for coaching and/or advice only for me to discover that they are not in this zone of self responsibility...they always find someone else to blame. It often takes a long time for me to point out this shortcoming in their attitude, and the importance of changing their concept and perception of what is really happening in their world. Not taking responsibility for your actions will hold you back forever. You will not be able to progress or prosper even marginally until you offload this intrusive attitude.

Taking responsibility boosts your self-confidence, and your self-esteem. It also makes you a stronger and more assertive person. When you can say to yourself " that was my fault, I should have known better, and I will next time" you are releasing tension, you are releasing guilt and you are accepting that you are human. If you want to progress in life (and who doesn't? ) unshackle yourself from these chains of destruction and ruin. Cast them away forever and begin to live a life where you can accept your shortcomings, learn from them, and prosper despite them.

Until next time, God bless.

Eddie.

Life Coaching.....so why the Drums?

Hi all,

Nice to be back with you again with another blog post. When deciding what to chat about today, I decided to take a look at a question that some people have asked me about my new programmes of Empowerment Coaching...using Drumming. A number of people do not understand where the drums come in.  What are they for?...what do they do?  So, let me try to explain a little about this concept of coaching, and why I use my drums.

Firstly, it's not drumming lessons. That is a different thing altogether. I'm my programmes I use the drums for "Rhythm Connection" Let me explain. In this world we all live in, Rhythm plays a huge part. In fact nothing works without the amazing and mysterious power of Rhythm. Everything needs a sense of Rhythm to operate properly, to work properly, to function properly...and so do we as humans. Yes, we operate day to day like rhythmical machines, physically, emotionally, socially and spiritually...or at least we are suppose to. When we are well (holistically) we are in Rhythm...all the parts of our lives are working well and synchronised. By this I mean we have no physical pain, no emotional problems, no social insecurities or spiritual doubts. We are in rhythm, and entrained to the Rhythms and tempo of nature and the universe.

When we wish to take on any task or undertaking in life, we must be in Rhythm...at least to do it properly. There is a correct and appropriate Rhythm or "Zone" to be in for any given task. This may not be realised or even understood at the time...I mean it's not exactly something people ask themselves every day "am I in the right Rhythm for this task?" however, when you are in the right Rhythm (Zone) you'll know it. Perhaps you may even remember a time when you felt this way. You felt nothing could go wrong, everything was lined up perfectly, things were so easy to do and everything was so clear. Do you know what I mean? Has this happened to you? This is what I call Rhythm Connection...everything is Rhythmically connected.

Now, if you decide to go for some Coaching...any kind of Coaching, you will need to make sure you are in the right Rhythm for it. You will need to understand that Coaching is a process...a Rhythm...just like anything else, and you must connect with this rhythmical "flow" in order to "drift" along with the process and stay synchronised with it. You will need to be "Rhythmically Tuned" holistically also to free yourself from any distractions that might force you "off" Rhythm, and into a situation of "dis-harmony" with the process. This happens in all aspects of life, like playing sports, working with people, socialising with people, having relationships with people and just everyday normal living functions like driving your car or using your laptop or cooking your dinner. There is a natural "flow" and "tempo" to all these undertakings, and when you find it, you will know it.

So, this is where the drumming comes in to play in my Coaching programmes...we drum to create Rhythm Connection. When we drum, we holistically "entrain". All our functions line up and become "One" and we operate at our maximum capacity. We are more creative, more awakened and more alert than at any other time, and we are ready to take anything on and Succeed! When we do this on a regular basis, it becomes part of us and we stay in Rhythm for longer periods. Focus and concentration become automatic and we can see the way forward to reaching our goals as an easy, relaxed and tranquil journey.

But there's more. Group Drumming has been used for hundreds of years to Empower, Uplift and Energise people. Life Coaching is a time of transformation, a time for change, a time to take risks and leave comfort zones. How can this possibly be done if we are not energised and empowered? Group Drumming creates all this...plus peer support. In a group drumming situation you will feel Empowered like never before. You will find energy you never thought you had...a strange kind of universal Energy that carries you forward on a surfboard of Rhythm. Amazingly Group Drumming has a mysterious way of being very uplifting while at the same time so relaxing, and we use this gift to accompany Affirmations and Visualisation exercises, and to release tension and negative baggage, concerns, anxieties and uncertainties.

So there you go. I hope you now have a better understanding as to why I use my Drumming in my Group Coaching sessions. It all makes sense when you think about it really. Oh, and did I mention...DRUMMING IS LOT'S OF FUN!

Till next time, God bless.

Eddie.
