Coaching can help Develop Winners
There are no prizes for coming in second place...or are there? Well when you think about it second place wins over all the other places that come behind it, like third and forth and so on. So, I guess unless you come in last you are always a winner right? Well that's how I see it. But should winning be your prime focus anyway? And then there's the question, winning in what? I'm talking about in life here. Do you see everyone else as a competitor? If so, why? Life is not a competition..and that's where many people make a huge mistake. They treat everybody as a competitor instead of focusing on their own progression. That's what a real winner does, he/she pays attention only to their own advancement. The only competitor you will ever have is yourself. Success is just a progression of little wins along your journey. You judge your success by how far you have progressed since last week / month / year, not how far ahead you consider yourself to be ahead of someone else. You are only ever competing against yourself, and as long as you are making some progress, no matter how small, you are winning. Too many people are obsessed with just accomplishing that little bit more than the next guy. Even if they are not progressing at the rate they wish, it doesn't seem to matter...as long as they consider themselves "ahead" of the next guy. This is a terrible mindset. A capable Life Coach will show you how to become a relentless winner when competing against your biggest opponent...yourself.

Coaching can help Establish a way forward
There is nothing worse than feeling you have nowhere to turn, or not knowing which way to turn. This is a feeling we all know too well. Your going well, things are working out pretty good for you and you think you have it under control...then Bang! Some unforeseen situation occurs and leaves you in a compromising position. Do you go left, or do you go right, or perhaps keep going straight ahead? Maybe you should turn back? Big decisions are needed. You've come to an unexpected crossroads, and every road seems to have an obstruction. The more you try to work it all out, the more complicated it seems to get. The main problem here is that there is only one brain trying to sort this out. There is only one perspective been applied to the concern. There is only one intellect being utilized. Well, you know what they say "two heads are better than one" "there is strength in numbers". The logical thing to do in this situation is to seek help. Bring in another perspective, another interpretation, another standpoint from a different angle. This is why Coaches exist. To help you consider other techniques and/or approaches to your dilemma. To support you in your pursuit of clearer thinking and sensible decision making. Coaches can take you around the back-roads of uncertainty, and lead you back to the main roads of stability.

Coaching can help sow the seeds of.......
If you sow the seed of an Apple tree in your garden.....an Apple tree will grow...not an Orange tree or a Pear tree. This makes perfect sense now as we mention it and think about it a little. And, yes it is perfect sense. I mean, how can anything else grow except an Apple tree? Just sow the seed, forget about it, don't worry about it and let nature take its course. Wham! an Apple tree will grow. This is how nature works. But we take nature for granted far too often. Nature can show us the way to accomplish many things if we just take the time to observe it and use some of its lessons.
Far too often we sow Apple trees and expect a Pear tree to grow. What I mean is we very often sow the seeds of failure and expect success. Examples of this would be like hoping to run a marathon but never train...pass an exam but never study...improve a relationship but never talk...expect to win but never buy the ticket...intend to go but never leave...set out to finish but never start...believe you can, but never try...seek to understand but never listen. There are many many more examples.
If you want success you have to work. If you want to run a marathon, you have to train. If you want to pass that exam you have to study. If you want to improve your relationship you have to talk. If you want to win the prize, you have to buy the ticket. If you want to travel, you have to leave where you are. If you want to finish something, you have to start it first. If you believe you can, you have to go and try it. If you want to understand when someone speaks, you have to listen carefully.
I know all the above sounds like common sense, but the problem with common sense is that it is not very common. So often we expect what is just simply not possible because we are pulling against it all the time...we have sown the wrong seed. Let a Life Coach sow some Apple trees for you, and watch you orchard flourish.
